ARCH 112
Drawing II
Architecture and Design · Maroun Semaan Faculty of Engineering and Architecture · 3 credits
Description
This course is the second in a sequence of representation courses. It covers more advanced visual representation techniques in architecture and teaches students to work across analog and digital representation tools. The course moves between free hand sketching, perspective methods to more complex 3D and composite architecture drawings. It also introduces students to basic concepts of diagramming and collages
as methods for imagining architectural space. Students learn to use 2D digital tools (CAD) in parallel to hand drawing. Lectures about conventions, methods and historical references to architects and artists’ drawings and work supplement the course.
