This course is an introduction to the basic concepts of organic chemistry with an emphasis on the relation between structure and properties. It also includes synthesis, properties and reactions of aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, alkyl halides and alcohols with an emphasis on mechanistic and stereochemical aspects of organic reactions. Prerequisite: CHM201[0-3, 1 cr.]
