I took this course with prof zainab during summer 2021. We have weekly readings, the readings are difficult to understand alone, but they are explained very well during class. You just have to take notes. We had a paper and a final exam. the paper is about giving objections about an ethical theory we took in class, and writing about a new theory that we see is the best. the final consists of question about the lectures. The prof is very good and the class is interesting, we always have discussion ( 20% of the grade was for attendance and participation)

I took this course with Muhannad online during the summer semester. The course talks about different ethical theories across several periods. He explains the concepts really well, and there are two exams. It is a good course to take as a first course in philosophy.

Hassanieh is okay, low workload but kind of strict with attendance and participation. His classes are very interactive and gradewise I think he's acceptable

Difficult to get high grades. You have to memorize what he talks about in class write down notes from the powerpoint presentation ( he doesn't post them on moodle), write it in a smart way in exams. You can get 80s if you have a general understanding of the topic and have some opinion write it along with some memorized concepts of course

1- In James' course you learn more stuff, he covers a lot of philosophers a lot of topics In Bashar's class you reflect on your own ideas 2- With James, higher workload 3- With James, what you need to study is veryyyy clear and his slides are extremly clear whereas in Bashshar's class his interesting discussion might get a bit confusing at some point, because he's not following a strict plan, it's really a discussion 4- if you work hard, James puts higher grades

I took philo 209 with rabih and philo 210 with james both are excellent in terms of explanation, james is very systematic with fair grades and the proportion of quizzes percentages is well studied, rabih is very interesting, he delivers his message in a funny understandable way( much less workload)
