Recommended! I really enjoyed this course. I took it online. Dr Bariche is very fun. His class is enjoyable. He is also very helpful and approachable.
One problem is that the grades aren't the best, but that is expecting in a bio course?. There is a range, but most probably in the 80s. Dr Bariche will not give you an MCQ exam via respondus. He will assign papers or PowerPoint presentations if the course is online. He only gives exams on campus.
Material is interesting. You learn about different parts of the ocean. The material was totally new to me and that's what made it interesting. Don't be afraid of the course because it is unfamiliar. Its not hard.
