- **PHIL 210 · 5/5 · 2023-04** — Mahmoud Baasiri gives good grades for PHIL 210, is very easy-going, and makes class enjoyable to attend.

- **PHIL 210 · 4/5 · 2023-04** — Mahmoud Baasiri is recommended for PHIL 210; when taken online the course reportedly consisted only of assignments, based on friends' experience, though the in-person format may differ.

- **PHIL 210 · 4/5 · 2023-01** — PHIL 210 with Mahmoud Baassiri is recommended: there is a midterm and a final exam plus a presentation and around four assignments, but nothing to study through the semester.

- **PHIL 210 · 4/5 · 2023-01** — PHIL 210 is generally easy; taken with Mahmoud Baasiri specifically it's recommended, though the reviewer can't speak to other instructors.

- **PHIL 210 · 2/5 · 2022-01** — Mahmoud Baassiri is a good person, but his PHIL 210 classes are sleep-inducing, you constantly have to take notes, and high grades are not attainable with him (around 85 is the ceiling).

- **PHIL 201 · 4/5 · 2023-11** — Mahmoud Baassiri is also recommended for PHIL 201; unlike Raid, he gives exams rather than only papers.

- **CVSP 205 · 3/5 · 2022-08** — Professor Baassiri is very chill and nice for CVSP 205, but his lectures are boring.

- **CHLA 202 · 2021-08** — This was probably one of my favorite classes at AUB thus far. If you're into philosophy, history, and theology, you'll love this class. We had a midterm, a final, and a project. The midterm and final are both essay-question-based. If you attend all lectures and take detailed notes, you don't need to read through all of the material. You can ask him which readings and fundamental and which ones are extra. Read the fundamental ones and maybe skim the extra ones. Make resumes of your lessons, they helped me out immensely as our tests were both open book. The project is a presentation, make sure you start early and use a mixture of in-class readings and other sources. Professor Bassiri is very nice, his dad jokes make up for his slightly monotone voice which can at times make following him harder. He explains the material really well, and grades fairly. Make sure you show interest by participating and asking questions.

- **CHLA 204 · 2020-03** — The instructor is nice. You will learn some Interesting topics

- **CHLA 204 · 2020-03** — Instructor is sweet, but you gotta work a bit hard to get high grades.

- **CHLA 204 · 2020-03** — Great instructor, easy course

- **CHLA 205 · 2019-08** — Yes. Simply. No workload other than reading the books (no bs review essays or responses), and if u read the book u guarantee an 80....listen to him for a 90+

- **CHLA 205 · 2019-08** — Mahmoud is amazing. Explains really well and the course is very interesting

- **CHLA 202 · 2019-08** — I took 202 with Baasiri and I personally felt that his classes were really interesting and engaging. If you focus with him in class and take notes, you can actually avoid doing all the readings and get a good grade (don't expect above 88 though)

- **CHLA 204 · 2019-08** — both excellent. Bornedal higher grades, less workload and much less studying but more boring

- **CHLA 204 · 2019-08** — I think it's easier to get higher grades with Aida if you care much about grades. Baasiri is sweet, and you gotta work a bit hard to get high grades.
