- **2/5 · 2022-01** — A student who took MUSC 230 did not like the course.

- **2021-08** — What a fascinating course! The material is very straightforward and relies mostly on memorization. Expect 2-3 quizzes and a big final project. The quizzes are all multiple choice and rely on memorization (very few questions are tricky). The final project is an analysis of an Opera piece. You'll learn all the analysis tools in class. You're graded both for content and for the presentation. So if you're good at video-editing and/or have an on-camera presence, this is your moment to shine. The only challenging part of this course is the Operas you have to watch (2-3 hours long). She'll assign about two a week, just make sure you start watching them as soon as they're assigned. Professor Sabbah loves what she does and you can tell. She explains the material well and doesn't mind answering questions. She does however expect a certain level of effort to be put into the course. Just attend the lectures, interact with her and show her that you're not just taking this as an easy elective.

- **2020-04** — Great course!! We just watched opera shows and analyzed them, we looked into historical and political backgrounds and there are some technical terms we had to define. The teacher is super cool, his exams are easy.. You can have a 90 very easily!
