If you're into philosophy, history, and theology, you'll love this class. We had a midterm, a final, and a project. The midterm and final are both essay-question-based. If you attend all lectures and take detailed notes, you don't need to read through all of the material. You can ask him which readings and fundamental and which ones are extra. Read the fundamental ones and maybe skim the extra ones. Make resumes of your lessons, they helped me out immensely as our tests were both open book. The project is a presentation, make sure you start early and use a mixture of in-class readings and other sources. Professor Bassiri is very nice, his dad jokes make up for his slightly monotone voice which can at times make following him harder. He explains the material really well, and grades fairly. Make sure you show interest by participating and asking questions. - **2020-03** — Really interesting class and engaging. If you focus with instructor in class and take notes, you can actually avoid doing all the readings and get a good grade (don't expect above 88 though). - **2020-03** — The instructor is a fair grader, the course has some workload but interesting topic - **2020-03** — Great instructor. Medium workload - **2020-03** — You have a reading per week, specific pages. we had to come to class and she just explains and gives us notes. she’s an amazing instructor. 1 midterm and a final with attendance/participation grade. There's an optional exam you could take if your midterm grade wasn't pleasing and she’d rearrange the percentages. The course is really enjoyable if you’re interested in what it offers. - **2019-08** — Highly recommended, go for it - **2019-08** — She’s one of the best. Her classes are very interesting and she has huge knowledge and experience which she is fully ready to share with her students. No workload (study one day before the exam) and fair grades. AVOID moving too much! - **2019-08** — Aida Arasoghliii !! Highly recommended. Write well in her essays and high 80 for sure ! Go for 202 with Aida and u will not be diasppointed - **2019-08** — With aida u have zero workload. She tells u to read stuff like 2-3 pages, but if u read them she has no problem. Eventually u r gonna read them again in the class. Moreover, she underlines for u the lines she wants u to write in her essays. So when u prepare for the midterm, u know what u have to write. For the grades, if u write everything in the essay (from your notes), i can assure you a high grade— high 80s up to 90. Highly recommended - **2019-08** — tony ! He is amazing ! Low workload and high grades are attainable - **2019-08** — I took with tony he’s so nice and friendly and fun. Even if you come late he won’t be mad or shout at all. The workload is fine, mainly readings from the book. The grading he says it from the beginning he’s harsh exam 1 and easier exam 2 and easy in final. But he helps a lot almost everyone ended high 80s or 90s. - **2019-08** — Aida is really good, interesting, and low workload. 80s EASILY achievable. If you put your heart into it, you can get 90s - **2019-08** — I took it with Aida, the workload is not much, just do your readings.. She doesn't ask much if you didn't, but it flows better if you do:p anws she gives two exams and a final(exam 2 is optional, you can choose not to do it if you're satisfied with your exam 1 grade). Class can be a bit boring sometimes, but she's nice in general. High 80's or a 90 can be attained if you do your readings, write her notes in class, and follow what she says regarding exams. - **2019-08** — I took 202 with Baasiri and I personally felt that his classes were really interesting and engaging.
