Most of the syllabus was group work which really decreases the workload, and her final exam is very very easy. If you just attend class and understand the material (no need for notes or memorizing) you can do really well. A+'s are attainable! She is also really nice and sweet and discussion in class were always fun and interesting. - **2021-05** — Professor Rana is the sweetest person ever. She values class discussions and makes sure every opinion is heard. The material is easy and so are the assignments. A and A+ are obtainable if you follow her guidelines. - **2019-08** — Very fair grader, workload is moderate though (not a little but you can manage; around 30 pages to read before each session but if you skim through the main ideas you'll be more than good). I also recall having to do a field study (we interviewed a specific group of people about a specific topic). The instructions were very clear so if you follow his guidelines you'll get at least an 85 on that. Exams are moodle based, both MCQs and short essays. Attendance and participation are also graded, but it's not hard to get that grade with him. - **2019-08** — zeina is a great professor, but there is a bit of workload where you are required to write a 10 page study, 2 interviews (10 pages each), and have a presentation about a certain chapter or reading. The course has 2 midterms and a final which are easy if you read and memorize from the book. She is a very fair grader if you have your job done properly. - **2019-08** — Really depends on your level in english. Anaheed’s exams are essay only questions, she gives u 3 prompts u pick one and write about it. Mind you that her essays require a lot of analysis, not just presenting facts, so if you can’t write a lot of information and analyze it in a short amount of time then don’t go for it. Otherwise, Definitely go for it, she makes class very interactive and forces you to study by preparing for every lesson with the assigned readings(which also take some time). Keep the book with you during class time and follow with her, she likes that. - **2019-08** — Dina gives 0 workload easy exams and sometimes the class is fun - **2019-08** — I took with dina, she is amazing. No one skips her class. I heard that zeina is also good - **2019-08** — She’s surprisingly sweet at the beginning. But there’s an extra article (up to 18 pages) almost before every class, 5 drop quizzes, two reflection essays, an end of year debate/assignment, a midterm (subjective questions are worth 30 points), and a final. That being said, her discussions in class are truly remarkable—you get to understand the material in a very fascinating way. Her grading is strict as well, and she might appear as a bully to those she doesn’t like/don’t make an effort in class. It’s certainly an experience—and I enjoy it. Although wouldn’t heavily recommend. - **2019-08** — She has such a wonderful personality, so sweet but she's very strict in class rules and assignments deadlines , she gives lots of workload , not really high grades but you will have the most interesting class with her ! - **2019-08** — You’d better take it with Zeina Fathallah if you’re aiming for high grades - **2019-08** — she is really nice but strict when it comes to the course. She gives a lot of workload and if you are aiming for really high grades you have to study on a daily basis and take notes during class. She makes sociology fun and easy to understand but I repeat there is a lot of workload - **2019-08** — Take it with Zeina if you want high grades and don’t really care about learning the material.
